CRISIS INTERVENTION TEAM TRAINING
Crisis Intervention training is a program used for local law enforcement, mental health providers, and advocates for mental health. This training was created to provide law enforcement with the proper knowledge and resources to help them know how to better respond to a mental health crisis.
Crisis Intervention Team (CIT)is a local initiative designed to improve the way law enforcement and the community respond to people experiencing mental health crises. The CIT builds strong partnerships between law enforcement, mental health provider agencies and individuals and families affected by mental illness.
This is a new program in the works of coming to Jackson County, the training workshop should be up and running late 2021-early 2022. Stay tuned for more information coming!
