Family Support ScholarshipMental Health America of Jackson County (MHAJC) has a special program called the Family Support Scholarship program. Money is set aside for this program from various grants and fundraisers to provide specific monetary support for someone with a lack of funds to secure treatment, or to assist with temporary pharmaceutical needs.It is our intent that no person should go without initial treatment or medication due to lack of funds. We have partnered with vendors such as Centerstone (previously Quinco) to provide a co pay voucher that can be used to assist with the co pay needed to obtain a first time appointment. After board approval, we have been able to assist some individuals with their pharmacy payments to obtain the medication needed to alleviate their mental health issues. All requests for disbursement from this program will need board approval. All decisions will be based upon prior precedent, specific need, and availability of funds.
